Teresa A. Daniel, JD, PhD—Employment Lawyer, HR Consultant & Trainer, MBA Faculty, and Author—is the President & Owner of InsideOut HR Solutions PLLC located in Ashland, KY.  Established in 1998, her firm provides training and consulting solutions focused on the development of a positive employee relations climate.  Clients are typically small and mid-sized businesses located in the Southeast, but sometimes globally as well (China, India, South America and Europe). 

Prior to beginning her consulting and academic practice, Dr. Daniel spent 15 years working for a Fortune 50 company in the areas of law and human resources in progressively-responsible positions—ranging from Corporate Legal Counsel to Division Vice President- Human Resources.  Her background includes a strong focus on leadership and management skill training and development (she taught in the company’s Executive Development Program for more than a decade), executive coaching and people-related legal issues. She is also on the faculty of the the MBA Program at Marshall University, where she teaches courses in Business Law & Ethics to students and executives located in Charleston, WV and Bangalore, India.

Teri has extensive experience delivering multi-media workshops to both executives and managers on a variety of people-related topics, including general Human Resources issues, leadership, change management, conflict resolution, employee relations, diversity, performance management and communication skills.  Her training uses a combination of methods, including facilitation of both small and large group discussions, case studies, and lectures that tie theory and content delivery to real-life situations.

Teri was recently named as a Fulbright Senior Specialist in 2004 and was honored in 2002 as a Distinguished Alumnus at Centre College, Danville, Kentucky.  She is the author of three business books, including: The Management of People in Mergers & Acquisitions (with Dr. Gary S. Metcalf), and Cash Balance Pension Plans: A Practical Primer, which was nominated by its publisher for the SHRM Book Award in 2001.  Her newest book, Stop Bullying at Work: Strategies and Tools for HR & Legal Professionals, was published by the Society for Human Resource Management and is available via the SHRM Store, Amazon.com and other major booksellers.
